Do I Have to Submit an Experience Outline?

I received an email today from a reader who was looking for an answer to this question: Do I have to submit an experience outline with my application if I held the same classification over five years ago? The email stated: Dear Mr. Cocciante: Your Blog is a wonderful resource and I am happy I discovered it. I have a question I hope you can answer. Here is the scenario: Contractor fails to renew license, license expires, five years pass. Contractor must now apply for new a.k.a. Original License. Does Contractor need to complete and have Certification of Experience form signed? Per Bus. & Prof. Code 825(b) applicant "may compute experience without regard to the ten-year limitation." So, essentially, Contractor may use the exact work experience used to obtain original license, and given that Contractor held license, clearly he has met the four-year minimum requirement... which leads me to the question of does Contractor need to include a Certification of Work Experience for...

War Hobbit

A hobbit is a measure of weight equal to 168 pounds (or 4 Welsh Pecks). Probably, you expected a different definition for a hobbit. I have read that English writer J.R.R. Tolkien was fascinated with the Welsh language and customs, to the point that he designed h is fictional Elf language on Welsh meanings, words, and traditions. When Wales became part of the United Kingdom in 1707 (after a long and difficult transition), that did not mean that the Welsh people got in line and did what they were told to do. In particular, very independent Welsh language and culture endures today, and this is not just OK, cultural identity, once put down as rebellion, is now encouraged in all members of the United Kingdom. Tolkien said that he worked on "The Hobbit" manuscript for 2.5 years, intending the story to be a fairy tale for adults to read to children. Indeed, his creation of a "halfling" relative of mankind resulted in child-sized adults who had physical features that seem...

Indian Medical Device Start Ups

Indian medical device industry is fragmented, price-sensitive and bogged down by infrastructure constraints like erratic power supply, low doctor-patient ratio and shortage of trained personnel to handle complex processes. These are pain points that Indian start-ups are trying to tide over to achieve market acceptance, stated Vishnu Bhat, managing director, BlueNeem Medical Devices. Nevertheless, Indian companies are developing products for the domestic markets. When combined with enhanced service quality and after-sales support, it is seen to go a long way in positioning Indian start-ups against competition from multinational companies, he added. The government has created a favourable eco-system through the 'Make in India' and the Medical Devices Rules 2017, which came into effect from January 1, 2018. While the former gives an impetus to produce quality products cost effectively, the latter prevents import dependence, Bhat told Pharmabiz in an email. As Indian companies a...
